The Indian government has identified areas to receive support through the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) program. These areas have two key characteristics. First, they have a large minority population, with at least a quarter (25%) of residents belonging to a minority community. Second, they are considered underdeveloped compared to the rest of the country, based on various social and economic factors measured in the 2011 census. This program aims to improve the lives of citizens in these areas by focusing on education, healthcare, skill development, and initiatives that specifically benefit women and girls.

Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY)

The government is taking steps to improve these villages in all aspects, making them “model villages.” This means creating a better standard of living by providing essential facilities and opportunities. They’re tackling two main areas: building strong infrastructure and boosting social and economic well-being.

Haryana Swaran Jayanti Mahagram Yojana (SMAGY)

This program helps villages with 10,000 or more residents get a modern sewage system. The Rural Development Department plays a key role by giving the official go-ahead for these projects. This ensures your village gets the sanitation system it deserves to stay healthy and clean. The Rural Development Department helps get things rolling by approving these projects, making it easier for your village to obtain a modern sewage system.

The program facilitates their access to financial resources and livelihood opportunities, fostering a sustainable path out of poverty for rural populations.
